Salzburgring Trackday
We present current McLaren Models at the Salzburgring
Driving is our priority.
On 28. and 29.07.2023 our trackday took place at the Salzburgring. In addition to the Aston Martin brand, McLaren was also represented with several vehicles.
At our trackdays, the adequate moving of the vehicles is in the first place. We want our customers to experience the driving characteristics of the vehicles themselves and to gain their own experience.
For the first time our customers were able to drive the McLaren Artura on the race track. The Artura impresses with its incomparable agility due to its shorter wheelbase (compared to the GT or 720S).
On the Handling Parkour in the infield of the track our Aston Martin models could be put through their paces. During various driving exercises (slalom, swerving, drifting) the Vantage F1 Edition, the DBS and DBX707 could be tested for their driving characteristics.
The Salzburgring:
More Information:
Its track length is 4255 meters. Two long straights, with the back straight to the start and finish straight rising slightly, as well as the long curve above the paddock that connects to this straight, made this track a very fast race track. In 2009, the Belgian Werner Daemen achieved an average speed of 189.299 km/h on his BMW S 1000 RR as part of the IDM, with which he holds the Superbike lap record.
Due to the constantly expanding safety requirements for motorsport events, several conversions have become necessary over the years. Among other things, chicanes were created to reduce speed, as well as run-off zones, which was very difficult and expensive due to the location of the ring in a basin.
The natural grandstands are unique. Due to their location above the race track, they allow particularly interesting race observations, especially in the section above the paddock, from where you have a view of both straights and the long paddock curve.
