Open top driving pleasure

The Valkyrie Spider comes as close as possible to a Formula One™ car without being restricted to the racetrack.

“Everything was approached completely anew. The thought process was truly restarted from the ground up.” - Marek Reichman, EVP and CCO

Luxurious open top driving pleasure at high speeds without compromising Aston Martin’s precise performance targets. The Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider has inherited unique engineering solutions born from the combined talents of Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies. An enviable head start.

Engine

THE MOST POWERFUL NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINE

An extreme work of modern engineering. Created from nothing, without any predecessor, then unleashed to roar up to 11,100 revolutions per minute. The most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever fitted to a road car. So loud and so astonishingly ferocious that every Aston Martin Valkyrie is supplied with active noise cancelling headphones, similar to those used in a helicopter, to protect your eardrums. Yet not deafening. A microphone on the exterior of the vehicle picks up sirens and other signals, allowing you to hear the road despite the twelve cylinder orchestra.

G-Force

HUMAN AND MACHINE

The Aston Martin Valkyrie is equipped with a six point harness for a very good reason. The lateral acceleration of this road car is approximately 3.3 g. Braking force reaches 1.9 g. That is why every point of the harness is carefully positioned to keep you securely in your seat. Perhaps this needs to be placed in a broader context. Lateral acceleration is a measure of acceleration during horizontal changes of direction.

SPACE AGE TECHNOLOGY

The striking aerodynamic exterior and the open underfloor maximize downforce and harness the airflow surrounding the Valkyrie. The body, crafted entirely from carbon fiber, features Aston Martin’s distinctive upper grille surround and then flows seamlessly into a radical form created purely for extreme performance.

Light

100 % CARBON FIBER

There is not a single steel component anywhere in the Valkyrie’s chassis. It is made of 100 percent carbon fiber. This means minimal mass with a maximum power to weight ratio.

Brake

A QUARTER OF THE SIZE OF A HUMAN EYE

How small can a brake light be? Every light bulb worldwide must carry a legally required marking that proves it has passed the relevant safety tests. In our case, this marking defined the size of the produced bulb. The illuminated section of the light is the same size as the legally required printed text. That is as small as it gets.

Blade

A SINGLE BLADE

The original design for the Aston Martin Valkyrie did not include windscreen wipers. When the car is in motion, rain clears itself thanks to the aerodynamics and the angle of the windscreen. However, a road car must sometimes stop at traffic lights, leaving us no choice but to install a wiper. We therefore had to develop a wiper that would function under the most extreme conditions. At almost unimaginable speeds. And one that adapts to the incredible curvature of the Aston Martin Valkyrie’s windscreen.
